The 2024-25 school year was one for the record books for Â鶹ÊÓƵ Athletics, delivering five Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) titles and the most successful run since joining the league 11 years ago.

Earlier this year, Melissa Perez was named assistant vice president for research security in the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. In this role, she oversees university-wide policies and processes to ensure compliance with research security laws and regulations (including export control), international collaborations, travel, and cybersecurity. As George Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s designated research security officer, she also leads institutional responses to threats affecting the university’s research compliance and standing.

In May, a Â鶹ÊÓƵ law student, working with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic (M-VETS), advocated for a U.S. combat veteran before an administrative law judge at a hearing before the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA).

HCR has been awarded a 2024 National Magazine Pacemaker Award by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP). Volition, George Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s undergraduate literary and arts journal, was named a finalist in the same category.

A pilot program led by George Â鶹ÊÓƵ social work professor Li-Mi Chen used virtual scenarios to improve training for nursing home staff.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Korea recently hosted the inaugural iDesign Seminar: K-Content in collaboration with Incheon City. The event brought together academic, government, and industry leaders to explore strategies for strengthening Korea’s cultural content sector. It was supported by Incheon Metropolitan City, Incheon Tourism Organization, Hanwha Corporation, and SM C&C.
