Once a year, every corner of �鶹��Ƶ unites for a 24-hour period, �鶹��Ƶ Vision Day, coming together with the singular goal of moving George �鶹��Ƶ forward.

Assistant Professor Tanvir Arafin's course on transportation security led George �鶹��Ƶ students to excel in the National Transportation Cybersecurity Competition, showcasing the effectiveness of integrating real-world challenges into academic curricula.

In February, �鶹��Ƶ students attended the first Undergraduate Research Showcase held by the Network for Undergraduate Research in Virginia (NURVa) in Richmond. The event was an opportunity for students to present their research as well as share their work with state legislators.

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center President Jeff Joyner and Vice President of Operations—and two-time �鶹��Ƶ School of Nursing alumna—Heather Causseaux recently toured the Lab for Immersive Technologies and Simulation. Their visit underscored Sentara’s interest in strengthening its simulation capabilities and exploring the groundbreaking virtual reality advancements at the College of Public Health.

During their time on campus, Robert Rubama worked with School of Dance students to help stage and rehearse choreographer Yue Yin's "Through the Fracture of Light," which the students will perform at the Dance Gala Concert on March 28 and 29 at 8 p.m. at the Center for the Arts.

Renowned American composer Ricky Ian Gordon will offer masterclasses, coaching, and public presentations in a week-long residency with the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music. During �鶹��Ƶ Opera’s spring performances of his opera “27”, Gordon will introduce each performance with his insights about this unique and engaging opera, based on Gertrude Stein's famed Paris salon at 27 Rue de Fleurus.
