A panel discussion co-sponsored by the Schar School and Ms. Magazine tackles a particularly thorny subject—two of them actually: Attacks on abortion and democracy.

�鶹��Ƶ students and prospective students ineligible for federal aid, such as undocumented students or students with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status, now have an alternative option for financial aid.

The first steps of the construction project that will reshape and reimagine George �鶹��Ƶ’s Arlington Campus are scheduled to begin this week, weather permitting.

We will open as planned on January 3, and the spring semester will begin as planned on January 24. And we will continue our indoor masking, testing, and �鶹��Ƶ COVID Health Check requirements.

�鶹��Ƶ Professor Thomas Lovejoy, one of the world’s leading conservation biologists, died Saturday, December 25. He was 80 years old. Often referred to as the “godfather of biodiversity,” Lovejoy enjoyed a career that spanned more than 50 years, carrying him all over the globe as a conservation champion.

The �鶹��Ƶ community came together on the Fairfax Campus on Thursday to celebrate more than 4,600 graduates.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Leah Adams and Amarda Shehu were among 12 Virginia educators honored by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) as 2022 Outstanding Faculty Award recipients, the council announced Thursday.

�鶹��Ƶ senior Eva Noroski spent a month assisting alumna and Elephant Trails keeper Ashley Fortner at the National Zoo, researching elephant sleep patterns.

�鶹��Ƶ will honor more than 4,600 summer and fall graduates on Thursday, Dec. 16, in two Winter Graduation ceremonies at EagleBank Arena, marking �鶹��Ƶ’s first indoor graduation ceremonies in two years.
