- April 10, 2024Once a year, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ invites its community—alumni, faculty, staff, students, and their families–to unite in philanthropy on Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Vision Day. This year, on April 4, they did so enthusiastically, raising $1,309,345 for the university’s students, research, and programs.
- April 10, 2024Overall, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has 19 graduate programs in the top 50 among public universities and 13 programs in the top 50 of all universities nationally.
- April 8, 2024Each spring, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's LGBTQ+ Resources Center hosts Pride Week: a time for campus celebration and community engagement in support of LGBTQ+ students, faculty, and staff.
- April 4, 2024For the second year in a row, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's own Green Machine Ensembles performed for delighted locals at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, an event where roughly 40,000 guests were welcomed throughout the day's festivities.

- April 1, 2024Right before Earth Day, Small Island Big Song presents a "jaw-dropping" (Billboard) concert experience at the Center for the Arts on April 20, combining music, spoken word, and stunning projections to showcase unique oceanic grooves and soulful island ballads, while shining a light on the devastating effects of climate crisis on our world’s oceans. As a Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Artist-in-Residence, Small Island Big Song will also deeply engage with the community through a series of education and engagement programs.

- March 27, 2024Barbara Humpton, president and CEO of Siemens, will be the featured speaker at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s 2024 Spring Commencement. The ceremony is set for 10 a.m. Thursday, May 9, in EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.
- March 22, 2024Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will consolidate programs and activities currently offered at the Loudoun instructional site, colocated with Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), to Fairfax and Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Square.
