Arion Lillard-Green, already a Â鶹ÊÓƵ alum, returned to complete her PhD in health services research.

Will Gautney started working at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Center for the Arts as a part-time stagehand in 2013. The job involved lots of lifting, building, and prep work for shows. In 2018, he was hired full-time as assistant master electrician, his current role. He is also chair of Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Staff Senate.

As the weather cools off, fall is the perfect time to explore the outdoors. Â鶹ÊÓƵ offers students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to get outside and form connections with others in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community through the Outdoor Adventures program, part of Â鶹ÊÓƵ Recreation.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Fall Career Fair, hosted by University Career Services on the Fairfax Campus, connected students and alumni with prospective employers on Sept. 27–28.

As employer engagement consultant with University Career Services at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Jneva Norfleet connects organizations with qualified talent from Â鶹ÊÓƵ, helping Â鶹ÊÓƵ students and graduates achieve their career goals. Outside work, Norfleet hones other talents of her own—she is a Toastmasters champion and a spoken word artist who shares her poetry to inspire others.

Olga O’Brien started her journey at Â鶹ÊÓƵ as an international student from Prague on a volleyball scholarship. As a student, she started working as a part-time volleyball instructor at the Freedom Center in 1999—the year the center first opened. And she has been there ever since.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Faculty/Staff Book Scholarship supports continuing education for Â鶹ÊÓƵ employees. This competitive $250 book scholarship is available to eligible full-time and part-time faculty and classified staff. Learn about the 2023–24 awardees.
