George Â鶹ÊÓƵ baseball alum South Trimble, BS Business ’23, and current graduate student Danny Hosley took the field in front of a sold-out crowd as part of the Banana Ball World Tour at Nationals Park in July.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Community Arts Academy has been named one of the Best Summer Camps by  Northern Virginia Magazine every year since 2021. This summer, the program broke multiple records including the number of student participants at just under 1,900. The Acting for Young People program also broke its attendance record with 950 students.

George Â鶹ÊÓƵ researcher David Luther is leading a project that is using AI models to help identify species and track biodiversity in Brazilian rainforests.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ is using $1 million from the National Institute of Standards and Technology to enhance emergency response, specifically using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve training and other capabilities of the emergency communication systems in Northern Virginia.

Since graduating from Â鶹ÊÓƵ, alum Alex Plank, BA Film and Video Studies ’10, has worked professionally on films and television series as an associate producer and actor. Plank is also an autism activist who works toward more authentic neurodiverse representation in media.

Each year, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students.

The Hylton Performing Arts Center opened its doors at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2010, and Marit Majeske, education coordinator, has been along for the ride ever since. Located on George Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Science and Technology Campus in Manassas, Virginia, the Hylton Center is managed by the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
