�鶹��Ƶ researcher Daniel Hanley and team developed a new camera system that allows ecologists and filmmakers to produce videos that accurately replicate the colors that different animals see in natural settings.

�鶹��Ƶ scientists and partners will leverage their climate expertise and the university’s resources into broader societal implications, thanks to a $6 million grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Doug McKenna is university registrar at �鶹��Ƶ. Many things change over the years at a college or university, but the university registrar serves as the guardian of something permanent. “I’m responsible for maintaining the student record in perpetuity,” said McKenna.

This year, College of Public Health professor James (Jim) Metcalf joined some very rare company, becoming the fourth �鶹��Ƶ faculty member to mark 50 years of service.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Patriot Pantry, in cooperation with the Capital Area Food Bank, is delivering groceries to food-insecure �鶹��Ƶ students and their families.

�鶹��Ƶ students are taking pictures of the campus flora, fauna, and fungi with their smartphones—sometimes in the dark—to capture the university’s biodiversity. They are trying to record as many species as possible in this fall's Bioblitz 2023, which continues through Nov. 19.

An event on Nov. 3 at the �鶹��Ƶ Square campus celebrated the "topping out" of the Fuse building, meaning the structural frame of the building is complete.

On Friday, Oct. 27, �鶹��Ƶ’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Department of Psychology hosted a grand opening of its new facility for the Center for Community Mental Health and Center for Evidence-Based Behavioral Health, two centers whose research and community services are deeply connected to strengthening our communities.
