�鶹��Ƶ has selected Chartwells Higher Education, a national leader in campus dining, as its new dining services provider, following a comprehensive and competitive RFP process. George �鶹��Ƶ’s contract with Chartwells begins on July 1 and is expected to transform dining on campus.

Graduating students, proud families, faculty, and special guests gathered at the IGC Grand Auditorium on June 21 to celebrate �鶹��Ƶ Korea’s Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremony.

Fourteen �鶹��Ƶ students, from a variety of majors, were chosen as recipients of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for study abroad. The U.S. Department of State’s competitive, merit-based Gilman Scholarship Program supports students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.

Students share experience gained from participating in the National Conference for Undergraduate Research, exemplifying it is never too early to contribute to academic discourse and bodies of knowledge.

A comprehensive carcinogenicity study on the world’s most used herbicide, glyphosate, involving scientists from Europe and the U.S., has found that low doses of the controversial weed killer cause multiple types of cancer in rats.

The George �鶹��Ƶ assistant vice president and director of Intercollegiate Athletics recently unveiled his vision with an ambitious five-year strategic plan called “Patriots United. Together We Thrive.” The plan aims to enhance student-athlete experiences, strengthen resources, raise competitiveness, curate storytelling and engagement opportunities, and cultivate a championship culture.

The 2024-25 school year was one for the record books for �鶹��Ƶ Athletics, delivering five Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) titles and the most successful run since joining the league 11 years ago.

At the 2025 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting,HAP PhD students and faculty delivered a range of presentations, covering health care worker burnout, digital health interventions, and Medicare policy. Their participation underscores HAP's commitment to applied research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world impact.

A subtle shift in mindset turned James Quinn-Irons into a force at the plate—and it has made all the difference in �鶹��Ƶ’s baseball postseason run.

Earlier this year, Melissa Perez was named assistant vice president for research security in the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance at �鶹��Ƶ. In this role, she oversees university-wide policies and processes to ensure compliance with research security laws and regulations (including export control), international collaborations, travel, and cybersecurity. As George �鶹��Ƶ’s designated research security officer, she also leads institutional responses to threats affecting the university’s research compliance and standing.

In May, a �鶹��Ƶ law student, working with the �鶹��Ƶ Veterans and Servicemembers Legal Clinic (M-VETS), advocated for a U.S. combat veteran before an administrative law judge at a hearing before the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA).
