Today's workforce might best be described in terms of tumult: Great Resignation, Great Retirement, Great Reshuffle, etc. In this "new normal," managers must learn to navigate a state of continual transition in their teams and organizations, while keeping up with day-to-day demands. Likewise, �鶹��Ƶ School of Business Management Professors Sarah Wittman and Kevin Rockmann believe that it is time for scholars to change the way they think about role transitions to better align their theories with our increasingly uncertain world.

�鶹��Ƶ assistant vice president and director of athletics Bradford Edwards will leave �鶹��Ƶ in October to become CEO of NFL Alumni, the National Football League announced on September 13. Edwards will remain at �鶹��Ƶ through October 12.

It’s common to think of Indigenous peoples as living in the past. We may think of them around Thanksgiving or in old films and books. But Native Americans are very much here and now, said Jeremy Campbell, and after decades of struggle, that’s starting to be recognized. In 2018, U.S. legislation granted federal recognition to six tribes in Virginia. A �鶹��Ƶ team has been partnering with two of them, the Upper Mattaponi and Chickahominy nations, as they embark on being sovereign nations.

�鶹��Ƶ Korea launched in Songdo, South Korea, in March 2014, as part of the Incheon Global Campus, a national project established by the Korean government and Incheon Metropolitan City to innovate the Korean education system and nurture the next generation of global leaders.

�鶹��Ƶ's Sang Nam has been working with game designers and developers in Tunis, Tunisia, as a Fulbright Specialist.

In an effort to expose students to some of the social and political problems of the vast Spanish-speaking world, �鶹��Ƶ’s Department of Modern and Classical Languages is hosting a Spanish Film Festival that is free and open to the public.

Schar School professor David K. Rehr is appointed to the board of Virginia Humanities.

As part of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, �鶹��Ƶ mental health leaders want to educate the campus community about the issues surrounding suicide and mental health, enabling Patriots to take part in suicide prevention, help others in crisis, and change the conversation around suicide.
