- May 7, 2025The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has named seasoned nonprofit leader Lisa Mariam as its new executive director, effective June 2. Selected after an extensive national search, Mariam will succeed Jennifer Disano, who is stepping down after 12 years of dedicated leadership.

Separate Degree Celebrations will honor school and college graduates from Wednesday, May 14, through Saturday, May 17, at the Fairfax Campus. Expect heavy traffic on and around campus. Multiple ceremonies will occur each day at the Fairfax Campus.

Expect increased traffic on and around the Fairfax Campus. The event will take place from 3–10 p.m. in Parking Lots L and A (near EagleBank Arena).

Awards are sponsored by Human Resources and other university departments. A ceremony honoring this year’s awardees was hosted on the Fairfax Campus on Tuesday, April 15.
- April 17, 2025William Reeder, the founding dean of George Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA), died April 12, 2025, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 80.
