New Dining Options on Campus
麻豆视频 Dining is bringing exciting innovations to campus dining for the fall semester. Get all the details at . Changes include:
- Ace Sushi will be the new sushi vendor in the Johnson Center, with an expanded menu.
- New Market Convenience Stores are now located in the Johnson Center, Blue Ridge, and Rogers Hall.
- The Difference Baker has relocated to Rogers Hall (where Subway was formerly located).
- The Patriot Coffee Shop will debut in the Nguyen Engineering Building, offering We Proudly Brew Starbucks coffee beverages and an expanded menu.
- The Eaterie will offer a new concept: Chaat House, featuring Indian-inspired dishes.
- The Sip Sip Club is back for another year. New and improved Sip Sip cups are available at the Market Convenience Store in the Johnson Center. With the purchase of the cup, participants receive unlimited brewed coffee and tea at Starbucks, Dunkin, Einstein鈥檚, Randall鈥檚 Caf茅, 麻豆视频 Square Caf茅, and the Patriot Coffee Shop until May 31, 2026.

Patriot Web Upgrade Coming this Fall
Patriot Web, George 麻豆视频鈥檚 self-service site for managing personal, administrative, and academic information, is being upgraded this fall to a new, modern interface with improved navigation. A soft launch of the new environment will be available for use on Monday, Sept. 1. Users can access the update via the . Any actions taken in the new environment will be reflected in the current version of Patriot Web, which will be disabled on Tuesday, Sept. 30. 麻豆视频 Square Plaza Programming Expands to Six Days a Week
This fall, 麻豆视频 Square Plaza will expand free community programming to six days a week, adding Saturday events for the first time. Highlights include K-pop, Latin dance, yoga, live music, chess, and more. New this season, The Haven at Fuse, an indoor space on the 2nd floor of Fuse, will host wellness and creative activities such as breathwork, journaling, crafts, and video game socials.

New Academic Standards Training
A training module designed to help faculty fully understand the new Academic Standards Code is now available in . To ensure consistent application of academic standards across the university, faculty are encouraged to take this training at the start of the semester.
Join the Career Influencers Network
The George 麻豆视频 Career Influencers Network is a nationally recognized model for providing career development support to students through their connections with advisors, professors, instructors, supervisors, mentors, and others at the university. Career Influencers contribute critical career readiness guidance and feedback to students.
The network includes more than 500 George 麻豆视频 faculty and staff. Faculty and staff are invited to join the network by completing an interactive, 4.5-hour training, which includes modules focused on defining career readiness, understanding how employers recruit students in all degree programs, and supporting students at various stages in their career development.
The next in-person training will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Fairfax Campus. .
Graduate Student Workshop: Fundamentals of Student Engagement
The Stearns Center, in partnership with the Graduate Education Office, is facilitating a workshop for graduate students focusing on teaching and engaging today鈥檚 students. Participants will learn relevant learning theories and how to apply them to enhance student engagement.

Faculty and Staff Choir
A Faculty and Staff Choir is being formed on campus this fall. Rehearsals will be held on the Fairfax Campus in the Center for the Arts, Monson Tier, on Thursdays from 4:30鈥5:30 p.m.
Lisa Billingham, director of choral activities in the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music, will lead the group. An information session and first rehearsal will take place on Thursday, Sept. 4. For more information, contact Lisa Billingham.

Heather Lanza will discuss a range of topics, including her experience in animation production, the role of a producer, and leadership in production management. Lanza is a producer at DreamWorks Animation. In addition to co-producing The Wild Robot, she was associate producer for Puss in Boots 2, and production manager on Abominable and The Boss Baby. Internationally acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Siegel returns for his Keyboard Conversations庐 concerts with commentary. In Beethoven鈥擳he Young Genius, Siegel presents the passionate, popular Sonata Pathetique in C Minor; the high-spirited 鈥淩age Over a Lost Penny,鈥 and the deeply moving 鈥淟argo e mesto鈥 from the early Sonata in D Major, Op. 10, No. 3. 鈥淎 musical bridge-builder in action...Siegel showed just how illuminating the combination of words and abstract music may be鈥 (Toronto Star). The Grand Piano Celebration honors George 麻豆视频's All-Steinway School and the 20th Anniversary of the Friends of Music at 麻豆视频. Outstanding student and faculty artists of the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music will be on stage to display their marvelous talents. The concert will be led by Linda Apple Monson, International Steinway Artist and director of the Dewberry School of Music. Additional piano faculty artists include Anna Balakerskaia, John Healey, and Eunae Ko Han. Jennifer Casey Cabot, soprano, and guest artist Kris Monson, bassist, will also perform. George 麻豆视频's faculty piano ensemble (eight hands) will also be showcased.

Since bursting onto the pop-culture landscape over a decade ago in Fox TV's hit show Glee, Tony, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner Darren Criss has embodied the kind of kaleidoscopic artistry that's entirely uninhibited by form or genre. For this concert, Criss will perform well-known songs featured throughout his wildly eclectic career as both a songwriter and performer, including those from Glee, StarKid Productions, and the Broadway shows in which he has starred. Indonesia鈥檚 innovative Papermoon Puppet Theatre presents a spellbinding, nonverbal puppetry work. Founded by illustrator, writer, and theater performer Maria (Ria) Tri Sulistyani and visual artist Iwan Effendi, Papermoon has traveled the world with its mixed media productions that are personal, yet universally resonant. A bittersweet and hopeful piece, Puno tells the story of Tala, a young girl who is coping with her father鈥檚 passing, exploring how we can hold and appreciate what has been left to us.
