�鶹��Ƶ doctoral student Elizabeth Davis has received a prestigious American Educational Research Association (AERA) dissertation grant to help her research on newcomer schools in the United States.

Jessica Lammers, who will graduate with her master of public health on Dec. 16, found a job as an environmental health specialist with Fairfax County through her internship.

�鶹��Ƶ graduating senior Alex Lee devoted hours upon hours to attending networking events hosted by the School of Business. He talked to potential employers, asked questions, put himself out there.

�鶹��Ƶ’s School of Business has been engaging students globally since the mid-1990s. Since then, students have participated in more than 100 global residencies around the globe.

Patricia Tran became interested in health informatics while working as a nurse. She is now pursuing a Master of Health Informatics degree at �鶹��Ƶ, where she obtained an internship with Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI) over the summer to research how 5G-enabled technology can transform telehealth care.

This fall, 25 students in �鶹��Ƶ’s Honors College enrolled in a class focusing on the changing status of men in American history.

Conjuring Presence is an exhibition of visual art and poetry featuring �鶹��Ƶ students, faculty, and alumni at the Fenwick Gallery in Fenwick Library on the Fairfax Campus.

The topic of “cancel culture” is not new in the public discourse, but �鶹��Ƶ communication professor Sergei A. Samoilenko believes he can take the discussion in a new direction.

Most people with access to a 3D printer find themselves creating small objects or gadgets. But one student group working at the MIX at �鶹��Ƶ each Friday is driven by a different dream.

“We build, design, test and plan to compete in solar-powered car competitions,” said Michael Riggi, president of �鶹��Ƶ’s solar car team, HyperNova Solar. “[We believe] our car, when complete, will be the world’s first and only 3D-printed solar car.”
