�鶹��Ƶ Competitive Cyber continues a winning tradition with a series of wins at CyberForge conference.

If Bryan Vega, a graduate student in �鶹��Ƶ’s College of Engineering and Computing, has learned anything from his lengthy career, it’s that he can never count himself out.

The Commonwealth Cyber Initiative Northern Virginia Node (CCI NoVa Node) is preparing for the third iteration of its Cybersecurity Traineeship Program, which offers a seven-week course to Virginia residents interested in pivoting into the cybersecurity sector followed by career support from �鶹��Ƶ and Northern Virginia Community College professionals.

A newfound passion convinced Ruthu Josyula to pursue a government and international politics major at the Schar School.

While useful technology, drones can pose a serious security risk. Systems engineering and operations research undergraduates Dyar Aziz and Markus Garretson are working to develop a methodology for inferring drone intent based on sensor data. 

Kayla Moore sees testing for sexually transmitted diseases as a key part of public health, and the doorway to a healthy community. Moore is currently getting her Master of Clinical Social Work at �鶹��Ƶ’s College of Public Health, and in recognition of the 25th anniversary of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, has organized a two-part event at �鶹��Ƶ’s Fairfax Campus that speaks to public health.

28 Master of Social Work students work with a substance-engaged adolescent in a Virtual Reality simulation. The majority of students felt more prepared to respond to changes in their client’s condition after participating in the simulation 

Students in the Honors College Consults course work as consultants for major industry partners in order to solve complex business problems.

Open to all undergraduate and graduate �鶹��Ƶ students, the Scholarship for Unpaid Internships offers a much-needed infusion of funding that can often mean the difference in allowing a student to take on a career advancement opportunity without compromising themselves financially.

�鶹��Ƶ Athletics has announced plans to expand the Recreation Athletic Complex on the Fairfax Campus to provide a modernized academic support venue for �鶹��Ƶ’s 500 student-athletes and to improve resources for the men’s and women’s basketball programs.
