On Friday, Aug. 18, it was all smiles as �鶹��Ƶ welcomed its largest incoming class at 2023 New Student Convocation in the EagleBank Arena.

�鶹��Ƶ President Gregory Washington congratulated the largest incoming class in �鶹��Ƶ history for recognizing the many advantages of attending �鶹��Ƶ, including undergraduate research opportunities, a diverse student body, and ready access to a dynamic job and internship market.

At the end of March, the Montano Student Investment Fund hosted "Patriots Day on Wall Street," offering a select group of �鶹��Ƶ School of Business finance students an enriching experience that included a tour of Wall Street and meetings with various firms.

Designed for rising Virginia high school sophomores and juniors from underserved communities, the VALHEN Hispanic STEM Academy provided the opportunity for 48 participants to engage in a series of interactive sessions across a range of STEM disciplines.

“The Road to the End,” a play written and performed by the School of Theater's alumni and students, won Best Drama in an audience vote at the recent Capital Fringe festival.

Alaina Ruffin will not be the first, second, or third, but fourth person in her family to graduate from �鶹��Ƶ. Her mother and two older cousins graduated from �鶹��Ƶ in 2000, 2001, and 2013 respectively.

To excite high school students about the promise of quantum technologies and to prepare them for this future, �鶹��Ƶ and Connected DMV joined forces to lead a Pathways to Quantum Immersion Program in July.

One May 24, 27 �鶹��Ƶ EIP graduates joined the ranks of �鶹��Ƶ alumni this year, along with 130 graduating high school seniors celebrating their EIP graduation, as part of EIP’s 32nd graduating class. More than 2,100 students have graduated from EIP since it began in 1987.
