�鶹��Ƶ’s Leah Adams and Amarda Shehu were among 12 Virginia educators honored by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) as 2022 Outstanding Faculty Award recipients, the council announced Thursday.

Lily Patterson knew she wanted to make things when she began her studies at �鶹��Ƶ.

With the support of a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, �鶹��Ƶ researchers Vivian Motti and Anya Evmenova have developed a smartwatch application that will help improve the daily lives of young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Accelerate 2022, held on �鶹��Ƶ’s Arlington Campus on Oct. 19-20, focused on showcasing up-and-coming startups throughout the greater Washington, D.C., region.

The National Science Foundation (NSF)’s I-Corps program is an accelerator that helps entrepreneurs and researchers work together “to bring invention to impact.” �鶹��Ƶ serves as an official I-Corps site, supporting local grantees through the exploratory stages of venture-building, as well as preparing them to apply for the national-level program.
