NTO �鶹��Ƶ and �鶹��Ƶ Korea partnered with the South Korea’s Local Government Officials Institute (LOGODI) to offer a joint program for 25 South Korean local government officials from May 15 to June 2.

On May 9, �鶹��Ƶ celebrated its research enterprise with Innovation Awards, recognizing the Innovator of the Year and a �鶹��Ƶ start-up, and those who received and/or licensed a patent.

�鶹��Ƶ has earned the American Talent Initiative (ATI) High-Flier distinction as one of 28 colleges or universities that provide “transformative leadership in college access and success for lower-income students, serving as a model for colleges and universities across the country.”

Students from �鶹��Ƶ and Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) will participate in the AmazonNext x CodePath 2023 Summer Cohort June 5 to August 19.

Blimps filled the EagleBank Arena air at the Lighter Than Air (LTA) Defend the Republic competition in April. The winning �鶹��Ƶ team, led by principal investigators Cameron Nowzari, Ningshi Yao, and Daigo Shishika, competed against six universities and about 50 LTA "blimps."

�鶹��Ƶ is seeing a steady increase in research awards, fall enrollment numbers and in its number of graduates, based on reports to the Board of Visitors at their May 4 meeting.

Green isn’t just a school color at �鶹��Ƶ. At �鶹��Ƶ, “green” is way of life, and sustainability is central to the university’s mission.

In April, 39 �鶹��Ƶ students attended the National Conference on Undergraduate Research at University of Wisconsin­–Eau Claire, where they made new friends, networked, and gained experiences that will help them in their studies and careers.

Rachel Yoho, the anti-racist and inclusive teaching specialist in �鶹��Ƶ’s Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning, received a Fulbright Specialist Program award to work with individuals at the University of Galway in Ireland.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Antonin Scalia Law School is the No. 2 law school in the commonwealth in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings. The school also ranks No. 2 among all law schools in the Washington, D.C., area.
