U.S. Senator Mark Warner spoke with about 50 students Friday, Sept. 30, on �鶹��Ƶ’s Fairfax Campus at an event hosted by the student group Democrats at �鶹��Ƶ.

Her “transformative” career at �鶹��Ƶ prepared Jennifer Vasquez for her new role: Vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion for the NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

After a diagnosis of stage 4 endometriosis, �鶹��Ƶ doctoral student Julia Mandeville co-founded the organization Barbados Association of Endometriosis and PCOS to raise awareness, support, and research efforts for the condition.

Participation in club sports is a significant factor in bringing in and maintaining students at �鶹��Ƶ, and also contributes to higher graduation rates, a new study has found.

In addition to leading tours for prospective students, visitors, and new �鶹��Ƶ employees, �鶹��Ƶ Ambassadors participate in and represent �鶹��Ƶ’s student population at admission events, student panels, webinars, and photo shoots.

Sophia Ramirez participated in �鶹��Ƶ’s Early Identification Program. Now she is a University Scholar in the Honors College, majoring in history.

�鶹��Ƶ graduate students helped the environment, nonprofit organizations and the local community with summer projects through the Sustainability Summer Graduate Research Fellowships. This summer marked the first time �鶹��Ƶ’s Institute for a Sustainable Earth (ISE) has offered the fellowship program.

This summer, as a Summer Impact project, a group of �鶹��Ƶ students designed and developed a pilot web-based archival application to organize documents relating to the victims of China’s Anti-“Rightist” Campaign in the 1950s.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Division of Enrollment Management has expanded in-person service through the �鶹��Ƶ Student Services Center to �鶹��Ƶ Square (formerly the Arlington Campus).

By the time Enayah Smith stepped on �鶹��Ƶ’s campus for the first time as an enrolled student this fall, she was already more than a third done with her four-year degree.

�鶹��Ƶ volleyball player Peyton Ehmke is not only returning for a fifth season, she has decided that once her playing career is over, she wants to coach.
