As midterm season set in, the Honors College’s third Yoga Day event came just in time to help Honors College students stretch out and destress. Alumni Jamie Argento returned to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus to hold the annual yoga session on Friday, September 23, guiding a group of Honors students and faculty on Finley Lawn.

Working with a Schar School mentor, a George Â鶹ÊÓƵ Honors College second-year student presents original research at an international policy conference.

Sophia Ramirez participated in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Early Identification Program. Now she is a University Scholar in the Honors College, majoring in history.

For Sophia Nguyen and Celine Apenteng, Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s new student body president and vice president, respectively, accountability to their fellow students is paramount.

Incoming University Scholar Dayana Cespedes-Mendoza has been familiar with Â鶹ÊÓƵ for more than five years through her participation in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Early Identification Program (EIP) for first-generation college-bound students, which she joined as an eighth grader.

Honors College alumni, Abigail Hawkins, has been selected for the prestigious Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals program. Hawkins, who graduated from Â鶹ÊÓƵ in May 2022, majored in global affairs with concentrations in human security and Middle East and North Africa Studies, and a minor in Arabic.  

Through the Global Engagement Scholar Program, undergraduate students in Â鶹ÊÓƵ School of Business have an opportunity they shouldn’t pass up to examine their own biases, cultural values, and learn how to contribute to a dynamic and global workforce.

Juan Escalera is a senior Marketing and economics major and began his time in the Honors College in the EIP.
