Amidst the arcade games, ping pong tables, and neon lights of the Corner Pocket sits a brand-new addition: a mural by art and visual technology student Lecsi Pillar.

April Grayson, an office administrator in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Schar School of Policy and Government, is the February Employee of the Month.

Dozens of Â鶹ÊÓƵ students are gearing up for the 10th annual Â鶹ÊÓƵ Lobbies on Thursday, Feb. 3, when they will meet virtually and discuss legislative issues important to Â鶹ÊÓƵ with lawmakers from across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Donna Tressler, who is January Employee of the Month, has been an administrative specialist for the Science and Technology Campus Executive Office since September 2014.

Jennifer Connors, director of Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Office of Military Services, is the first recipient of the Admiral John Harvey Career Achievement in Military Education Excellence Award, which was presented by the Virginia Department of Veteran Services in September.

As associate director of the Office of Military Services, Barnett provides military-affiliated students with one-on-one support for everything from financial aid to counseling to career services.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ 100 students attended the Fall 2021 Communication Career Forum hosted by Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Department of Communication and its external advisory board, the Insight Committee. There they had the opportunity to interact in person with public affairs specialists, media producers, journalists, health communicators and marketers.

For her hard work, dedication, and generosity, Dorothy Hayden, an industry advisor in University Career Services, is November Employee of the Month.

Motivational speaker Calvin Mackie told Â鶹ÊÓƵ student leaders to take on the world with hope and passion.

President Washington spoke on Oct. 14 at a Â鶹ÊÓƵ Korea event in Horizon Hall on the Fairfax Campus, as part of a week-long series of events celebrating his Investiture. Participants gathered in person and virtually from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Korea Campus.
