Terri Ann Guingab, an instructional designer in the College of Health and Human Services, is September Employee of the Month.

Incoming University Scholar Dayana Cespedes-Mendoza has been familiar with �鶹��Ƶ for more than five years through her participation in �鶹��Ƶ’s Early Identification Program (EIP) for first-generation college-bound students, which she joined as an eighth grader.

Incoming freshman and nursing major Jennifer Owen, who works as an EMT with Purcellville Volunteer Rescue Squad, aspires to become a critical care nurse.

Twenty �鶹��Ƶ students traveled to Spain this summer as part of a field study summer course called “Leadership Across Difference: Lessons from Medieval Spain.”

�鶹��Ƶ students attended a screening of the documentary “Guardians of the Forest” and the talkback with leaders of the Maijuna indigenous group in Peru, who were featured in the film.

Eleven �鶹��Ƶ students took the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT®) challenge following the �鶹��Ƶ Graduate Interdisciplinary Conference on April 8.

The 2022 �鶹��Ƶ Graduate Interdisciplinary Conference on April 8 highlighted the university’s new slogan, All Together Different, by uniting students from across different programs and departments to showcase �鶹��Ƶ’s commitment to research and its impact.

From April 2-4, 14 students from �鶹��Ƶ’s Forensics Team competed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the AFA-NST, which brings students together from across the nation to compete for national championships.

As an instructor and fieldwork coordinator for �鶹��Ƶ’s School of Sport, Recreation, and Tourism Management (SRTM), Tina Jones helps prepare students for the transition from college student to working professional.
