A mini career fair in October brought together 17 students and nine employer partners for a networking experience designed with intention: a quieter, structured environment where neurodivergent students could practice professional skills without the sensory overload of a conventional career event.

George Â鶹ÊÓƵ graduate student Kevin Landry turned his passion for honeypots into a hands-on classroom project, leading his team to build a customized cyber trap that attracted real-world attackers and gave students an eye-opening look at cloud security.

The Costello College of Business at Â鶹ÊÓƵ announced a significant increase in scholarship money awarded to students—$1.3 million for the 2024-2025 academic year—$500,000 of which went to named scholarships. Over the past five years, both the total amount of scholarship funding and the number of students who have received Costello scholarships have more than doubled.

This year’s Winter Commencement student speaker Ayham Elayan is graduating from Â鶹ÊÓƵ this week with a bachelor of science in bioengineering with a pre-health concentration.

When Supreet Singh immigrated to the United States from India in 1999, it was to join her husband, Jaspreet, whom she had met through an online dating site. The couple married in Fairfax, Virginia—the same city where Jaspreet graduated from Â鶹ÊÓƵ years earlier. Knowing Supreet’s ambition to build on her master’s degree in biochemistry, Jaspreet encouraged her to enroll at George Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

Working full-time while getting a graduate degree is no easy feat. But for Air Force veteran and soon-to-be Â鶹ÊÓƵ alum Kathleen Gillmore, hard work is second nature.

Tereana Battle can look back on many accomplishments during her time at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, but one of the memories that gives her the most satisfaction is her capstone project, creating an anti-bullying workshop for middle school students.

Max Dacey enrolled at George Â鶹ÊÓƵ with a singular goal: to earn his degree quickly and better support his family. A former competitive rugby player, he didn’t imagine a traditional college experience. However, a year and a half later, the public relations major from Alexandria, Virginia, is graduating with far more than he expected.
