Summer goes by fast—whether you’re a kid, or a kid at heart. The K-12 students who attended camps and youth programs at Â鶹ÊÓƵ this year filled those fleeting summer days with memories. Here are some snapshots from their summer to remember.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ recently partnered with Virginia State University (VSU) to transfer surplus furniture from Â鶹ÊÓƵ residence halls. Through the efforts of staff from Â鶹ÊÓƵ Facilities and Housing and Residence Life, more than 850 pieces of furniture were transferred to furnish newly opened residential spaces at VSU, an HBCU located near Petersburg, Virginia.

Mark Ginsberg has been the Senior Vice President and Provost of Â鶹ÊÓƵ since September 2020 and before that served as dean of the College of Education and Human Development.

John Tyree, one of Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s University Business Consulting (UBC) consultants, started working at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2019, but his connection to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Nation dates back to 2010.

One person has portrayed three different Â鶹ÊÓƵ mascots over the years, including the tricorn-hat Gunston (1993), the brief Gorilla period (1994), and the fuzzy Gunston (1996). He is still a Â鶹ÊÓƵ employee. Who is it?
