Joy Sobieralski, the financial reporting manager in Fiscal Services, is the June Employee of the Month. 

�鶹��Ƶ welcomed 229 “Junior Patriots” to its campuses on April 24 for the annual Take Your Junior Patriot to Work event. Faculty and staff had the chance to bring the children in their lives to campus and experience life at George �鶹��Ƶ for a day.

Patricia King, office manager in Research and Innovation Initiatives in the Office of Research, Innovation, and Economic Impact (ORIEI), is the May Employee of the Month.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Outstanding Achievement Awards celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of faculty and staff in support of the university's values and mission. Awards are sponsored by Human Resources and other university departments. A ceremony honoring this year’s awardees was hosted on the Fairfax Campus on Tuesday, April 15.

Science and Technology Campus machine shop manager Johnnie Hall embodies �鶹��Ƶ value “students come first.”

Bonnie Madden, a two-time �鶹��Ƶ alum, joined the Biology Department as the microbial and phage lab manager almost a decade ago while working on her bachelor's degree in biology.

Kenneth (Kenny) Darby, senior events manager at �鶹��Ƶ Square, is February Employee of the Month.

�鶹��Ƶ has selected Christopher M. Ackerman Sr. as its new vice president of human resources and chief human resource officer. He begins his new role Feb. 24.

Maria Wilkins, coordinator of Health Professions Advising in the Office of Undergraduate Education, is January Employee of the Month.
