- President Washington points to data to show Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ outperforming Top 50 schools in some categories
Washington, a self-described data geek, said he has been poring over graduation data, research funding, and other key performance indicators that show how Virginia’s largest and most diverse research university stacks up against the national competition.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has made significant gains in research funding over the past year, buoyed by programs in social sciences and computer and information sciences that are ranked in the top 10 among public universities.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has two online graduate programs ranked first in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report, leading the state in curriculum and instruction and accounting.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was named one of the top 50 young universities internationally in the recently released 2020 Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has 14 graduate programs ranked among the top 50 nationally in new rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.
