During her time at the School of Business, Nancy Sydnor, BS Marketing ’99, formed lasting friendships among her classmates and instructors. “Starting at �鶹��Ƶ in my 40s and further along in my career, I was nervous about fitting in,” she says. “But everyone was so welcoming and helpful. My �鶹��Ƶ experience was immensely positive.”

Growing up in Paris, France, Ava Nia, BS Marketing ’19, fondly recalls coffee breaks paired with delicious baked goods. When it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), Darin Simmons Jr. MBA '11, recognizes there’s challenging work to be done, work that won’t be accomplished overnight.

Brad Greenwood, associate professor of information systems and operations management at �鶹��Ƶ School of Business, and coauthors recently launched a research study that is forthcoming at Information Systems Research that explores what happens to a community’s abortion rates when a workaround for capital constraints becomes available.

For senior finance major, Tyler Harb, he will be leaving �鶹��Ƶ with a supercharged resume full of unique experiences. Harb is a successful international student, president of the Investment Committee for the Montano Student Investment Fund, has held two finance internships and published an independent research project. He will graduate from �鶹��Ƶ School of Business this May.

The �鶹��Ƶ School of Business recently set up a unique admission partnership with the University of Virginia at Wise. The pathway offers students who graduate from UVA-Wise the ability to streamline their applications to the master’s in accounting, master’s in finance, and master’s in management (MSM).

�鶹��Ƶ’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is hosting the 2022 Spring Container Design Challenge as part of an ongoing partnership with the City of Fairfax Economic Development Authority.
