The annual Campus Legends and Lore Walking Tour takes the �鶹��Ƶ community on a spooky stroll around Fairfax Campus with an educational twist.

The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution hosted a two-day symposium, “A Celebration of Legacy and Impact: Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Peacemakers and Leaders for Change,” at �鶹��Ƶ Square in Arlington on Oct. 16-17. The symposium commemorated the Carters’ contributions to making the world more peaceful.

�鶹��Ƶ announced the first series of direct admissions partnerships with eight Northern Virginia high schools. The goal of the pilot is to directly reach students who are academically eligible to �鶹��Ƶ but may be experiencing challenges in pursuing higher education.

With nearly 1,000 acres of land, waterways, forests, and buildings, �鶹��Ƶ’s campuses are a dynamic, living learning environment of hands-on applied research.

�鶹��Ƶ Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students. This year’s celebration was held October 20 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

�鶹��Ƶ has established a new Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Program to bolster the start-up market and opportunities in the greater Washington, D.C., region and across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Author Rachel Heng has won the sixth annual New American Voices Award for her novel The Great Reclamation. She accepted the award at a ceremony at �鶹��Ƶ’s Center for the Arts during 25th annual Fall for the Book festival.
