�鶹��Ƶ has 10 graduate programs in the top 30 among public institutions, according to the latest rankings from U.S. News & World Report, reflecting the university’s reputation for innovation and ability to make significant impacts on the national stage.

�鶹��Ƶ President Gregory Washington told the Board of Visitors (BOV) on Thursday, Feb. 23, that “there may not be a better place in the state to make an investment” than �鶹��Ƶ.

The Baroni investment will expand opportunities for center research activities and student engagement and contribute to a new space.

Negotiation is a critical skillset in business and in society. Negotiation is a complicated, joint decision problem where parties can, potentially, make each other better off—but also have some competing interests. Einav Hart, assistant professor of management at �鶹��Ƶ, suggests that our relationships and context influence how we should negotiate—and even whether it is a good idea to negotiate at all.

�鶹��Ƶ’s online degree offerings are some of the best in the nation, with five programs in education and engineering ranked in the top 20 among public universities, according to the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings released Jan. 24.

�鶹��Ƶ will receive $1 million in federal funding to support the creation a first-of-its-kind �鶹��Ƶ Center for Excellence in Government Cybersecurity Risk Management and Resilience, and nearly $1 million for the Saving Lives and Decreasing Health Disparities project

Faculty, staff, and students from three units across �鶹��Ƶ have worked together to create a new VR experience so elementary students can take a “field trip” to the �鶹��Ƶ apiary and learn from an expert beekeeper.

This month, Paul Vosti will graduate from �鶹��Ƶ with a master’s degree in finance, part of the program’s first cohort of 14 students.

A double major and member of the Honors College, Juan Escalera came to �鶹��Ƶ as an alumnus of the university’s Early Identification Program.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Business for a Better World Center (B4BW) recently convened an in-person Stakeholder Roundtable on the subject of Corporate Governance. The half-day event took place at Point of View International Retreat & Research Center at �鶹��Ƶ Neck in Lorton, VA on October 21.
