From April 2-4, 14 students from �鶹��Ƶ’s Forensics Team competed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the AFA-NST, which brings students together from across the nation to compete for national championships.

Most people with access to a 3D printer find themselves creating small objects or gadgets. But one student group working at the MIX at �鶹��Ƶ each Friday is driven by a different dream.

“We build, design, test and plan to compete in solar-powered car competitions,” said Michael Riggi, president of �鶹��Ƶ’s solar car team, HyperNova Solar. “[We believe] our car, when complete, will be the world’s first and only 3D-printed solar car.”

Motivational speaker Calvin Mackie told �鶹��Ƶ student leaders to take on the world with hope and passion.

Eight �鶹��Ƶ students traveled to Cusco, Peru, as part of Volunteers Around the World-Dental (VAWD), a student-led organization that gives volunteers an opportunity to shadow dental professionals abroad.

The Socratic Society is a way for students with diverse beliefs and backgrounds to connect on a deeper level through informative and often lengthy discussions outside of class.

�鶹��Ƶ hosted its third annual collegiate hackathon, PatriotHacks, the weekend of April 16. Nearly 350 students from all over the world spent 36 hours attending workshops, panels, and participating in technology activities and challenges.

More than four months of planning by College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) students and external partners led to a successful spring symposium on April 9.
