A team of #Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµCHHS researchers designed an app to combat the growing mental health concerns affecting undergraduate students due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The researchers created a predictive health app that detects when undergraduate students are exhibiting behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns and connects the students to appropriate resources, such as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Counseling and Psychological Services.
Miki Nishida Goerdt, LCSW, LCSW-C, ATR-BC, is a Board-Certified Art Therapist and Clinical Social Worker licensed in Virginia and Maryland. With 20+ years of experience, she specializes in culturally responsive therapy for older adults, immigrants, and communities of color, integrating art and social justice in healing practices.
