Laurence Bray, associate provost for graduate education and leader of the Graduate Division at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, has been elected to serve as president of the Virginia Council of Graduate Schools (VCGS). Bray will succeed current VCGS president Jeannine Perry, Dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Longwood University, on July 1, 2023.

The new Graduate Division, directed by Associate Provost Laurence Bray, plays a lead role in preparing well-rounded and diverse graduates to contribute to research productivity and workforce development.

Megan Bruening was recently named Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Director of Fellowships, supporting both undergraduate and graduate programs. Bruening joined the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community as the assistant director of graduate fellowships in 2021 and had been serving as interim director for the past several months.
