Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has been recognized as a Bicycle Friendly University by the League of American Bicyclists for promoting safe, accessible bicycling on campus. The League of American Bicyclists is a grassroots advocacy organization encouraging better bicycling and protecting the rights of people who bike.

Will Gautney started working at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Center for the Arts as a part-time stagehand in 2013. The job involved lots of lifting, building, and prep work for shows. In 2018, he was hired full-time as assistant master electrician, his current role. He is also chair of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Staff Senate.

Lucal was selected in a national search conducted this summer. She joins Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she serves as the associate vice chancellor of Human Resources and CHRO.

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ community gathered Sept. 28 to celebrate the launch of the university’s largest comprehensive campaign in its history, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Now: Power the Possible. The event at Merten Hall was dedicated to the people who work every day to drive Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s success: the university’s faculty and staff.
