As term associate professor of statistics, Kenneth Strazzeri stays busy teaching about 300 students each semester. Beyond his passion for teaching, Strazzeri discovered two new interests in recent years: running and biking. This hobby is now his major mode of transportation, as well: commuting to Â鶹ÊÓƵ by bike has offered Strazzeri motivation and an opportunity to improve as an athlete.

As assistant professor and online Master of Health Administration coordinator in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College of Public Health (CPH), Maria Uriyo teaches courses on Contemporary Issues in Health Systems Management and co-manages the Master of Health Administration Program's capstone research class.

As the student enrichment coordinator in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s College of Education and Human Development, Caroline Masakayan helps organize a variety of student activities. She also supports student organizations and the college’s two learning communities. Outside of work, Masakayan volunteers as a court-appointed special advocate (CASA), helping children experiencing tough living situations, abuse, and neglect.

Dominique Banville, from the small town of La Malbaie, Quebec, didn’t get serious about curling until she moved to the United States. That was 1999, when she started at Â鶹ÊÓƵ and joined the Potomac Curling Club.

Amanda Snellings is the assistant director of development at Â鶹ÊÓƵ's College of Visual and Performing Arts, but when she's off the clock, she is also the artistic director of City of Fairfax Theatre Company.

Karen Lee, assistant director of the Office of Student Scholarship, Creative Activities, and Research (OSCAR), has been a part of the Sweet Adelines since 1991.

Micah Hodges works as a success coach in University Life at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. In this role, Hodges works one-on-one with students to help them discover what success looks like to them. Outside of work, Hodges helps sustain and develop something else: our local environment and community spaces. As a volunteer with NOVA and District Cleanups, Hodges works alongside cadres of volunteers who remove trash from public spaces.

As the university archivist for University Libraries, Bob Vay collects and maintains Â鶹ÊÓƵ photos and documents from over the years. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Vay has spent his personal time collecting something new: guitar parts.

Pam Promisel works in the University Business Consulting office at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Outside of work, she views the world from a different vantage point: horseback. As a Mounted Patrol volunteer with the National Park Service, Pam serves in a unique role at Manassas National Battlefield Park.
