The grants will help �鶹��Ƶ expand mental services available to students

�鶹��Ƶ's five-year plan, titled “�鶹��Ƶ Is All Together Different,” received BOV approval at the governing body’s Dec. 1 meeting. The plan identifies five broad priorities, with specific strategies and actions for each.

In late September, 18 undergraduates from the Smithsonian-�鶹��Ƶ School of Conservation‘s (SMSC) Wildlife Ecology and Conservation program tagged monarch butterflies on their journey south to help researchers better understand their grand migration.

It has been busy year at the �鶹��Ƶ Innovation Exchange (MIX). Since the �鶹��Ƶ makerspace opened in its new space in Horizon Hall in September 2021, it has seen a lot of traffic—more than 9,000 visitors in spring 2022—and has some successes to report.

�鶹��Ƶ’s Business for a Better World Center (B4BW) recently convened an in-person Stakeholder Roundtable on the subject of Corporate Governance. The half-day event took place at Point of View International Retreat & Research Center at �鶹��Ƶ Neck in Lorton, VA on October 21.

Twenty years ago, in December 2002, Vernon L. Smith was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, recognizing his pioneering work in the field of experimental economics.

�鶹��Ƶ announced the largest gift to a center within the School of Business from Attain Partners founder and CEO Greg Baroni and his wife, Camille.
