October 16, 2025As the academic manager in Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Global Education Office, Rachel Spence helps international students from partner universities worldwide with the transfer of classes, registration, and advising. In addition to helping students navigate their experiences in the United States and complete their George Â鶹ÊÓƵ degrees, Spence is also the chair of the Staff Senate, which represents the interests of all classified and non-student wage employees to the administration and Board of Visitors.
April 19, 2024The Office Supply Swap at Â鶹ÊÓƵ launched in Spring 2023, thanks to the efforts of the Staff Senate and University Sustainability.
October 20, 2023Will Gautney started working at Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Center for the Arts as a part-time stagehand in 2013. The job involved lots of lifting, building, and prep work for shows. In 2018, he was hired full-time as assistant master electrician, his current role. He is also chair of Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Staff Senate.
April 1, 2022Amanda Corrigan is an administrative assistant for the Staff Senate, which is a 28-member group with a mission of educating, appreciating, and advocating for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ staff.
