On March 21, 2024, Break Through Tech �鶹��Ƶ hosted "A Day in the Life: Tech Jobs Unveiled," a panel event featuring Jamie Bowers, Site Reliability Engineer at Microsoft; Veeraj Modi, Security Analyst at Microsoft; and Cassandra Rothrauff, Senior Computer Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton. Each panelist discussed their path in the tech industry as well as advice they would offer students just starting out.

New students heard from accomplished speakers, practiced skills in workshops, and connected with both academic advisors and peer mentors at the Your Path to Tech event on August 18. Event organizers aimed to welcome women interested in tech and set them up for success in coming years.

During winter break, fifty-three George �鶹��Ƶ students participated in three-week micro-internships via Break Through Tech DC’s Sprinternship program. 

Break Through Tech at �鶹��Ƶ will be accepting applications starting Friday for its Guild program, which runs from June 6 to June 10.

CEC Diversity Associate Mercadi Crawford makes sure that--no matter who they are--all Break Through Tech students know a STEM career is possible with the right education, resources, and opportunities.

The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) approved the move to establish a School of Computing at �鶹��Ƶ—the first such school in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

�鶹��Ƶ received a grant from Break Through Tech to propel more students who identify as women and non-binary into tech education—and ultimately tech careers—through curriculum innovation, career access, and community building.
