Two members of George Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's academic advising community were honored with regional awards from the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) this spring. We asked Barbara Snyder, director of student success and academic advising in the Costello College of Business, to share some insights her experiences in academic advising and what it means to be recognized for her work. She received NACADA's award for Excellence in Advising—Advising Administrator.

These awards recognize excellence in academic advising in NACADA Region 2, which includes Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Tiffany Sandstrum from the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s College of Education and Human Development was recently named the V. Ann Lewis Academic Advisor of the Year in recognition of her outstanding care and commitment to supporting undergraduates’ academic achievement.
Michael is an academic advisor in the Honors College at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. He enjoys writing comedy and has been published in several magazines. He is currently working on a novel that explores humanity’s relationship with social media.
