Senior of the Year Haley White said double majoring in business and art history was one of the best decisions she made during her time at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Her second best decision was joining the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Chooses Kindness initiative.

Each year, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Alumni Association has established the Amy Takayama-Perez Memorial Student Book Award to honor Â鶹ÊÓƵ alumna and former colleague Amy Takayama-Perez, BA Sociology ’96, MEd ’02.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association’s annual Celebration of Distinction recognizes outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students. This year’s celebration was held October 20 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner.

Alaina Ruffin will not be the first, second, or third, but fourth person in her family to graduate from Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Her mother and two older cousins graduated from Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2000, 2001, and 2013 respectively.

Hannah Adamson knew after an 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C., that the capital region was the place for her. She is graduating this May with a bachelor of arts in conflict analysis and resolution.

For more than 30 years, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association has honored outstanding alumni, faculty members, and students at their annual Celebration of Distinction. The 2022 awardees include a diverse group of Patriots who exemplify service to others.
