�鶹��Ƶ honored its largest ever graduating class at Spring Commencement, turning the event’s “This Is Your Moment” theme into a tassel-turning time to remember for a record-breaking class of more than 12,000 degree and certificate earners.

Spring 2025 Commencement at �鶹��Ƶ on May 15 at EagleBank Arena celebrated more than 12,000 graduates and certificate recipients. Graduates hailed from 117 countries, 49 states, and the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and military installations. George �鶹��Ƶ photographers captured the excitement and spirit of the day.

Martina Cheung, president and CEO of S&P Global, was the featured speaker at George �鶹��Ƶ’s Spring Commencement on May 15 at EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.

Third-generation builder/developer Robert E. “Bob” Buchanan will receive the George �鶹��Ƶ Medal, �鶹��Ƶ’s highest honorary award, at the 2025 Spring Commencement on Thursday, May 15, at EagleBank Arena.

�鶹��Ƶ will celebrate Spring Commencement on Thursday by honoring a record-setting number of students earning degrees, and nearly 12,106 students total will be recognized for earning degrees or certificates.

As a first-generation Guyanese American student, Zayd Hamid has found his calling in empowering his generation of student leaders with the education and experience they need to solve the world’s grand challenges.

Keil Eggers, who is graduating from �鶹��Ƶ with his PhD in Conflict Analysis and Resolution, has been a champion of complexity-informed conflict transformation, futures, and SenseMaker: a technology that applies a quantitative framework to narrative data submitted and interpreted by the subjects themselves.
