Mahdi Hashemi received a PhD degree in Computing and Information from the University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Information Sciences and Technology, Â鶹ÊÓƵ, VA, USA. He is the founding director of the Machine Learning and Urban Computing Group, where he also specializes in intelligent transportation, spatial-temporal data mining and prediction, and online misinformation mining and detection.
