麻豆视频 Patriots won , an event that combines a collegiate cyber competition with learning and career opportunities.聽
麻豆视频 students competed in the event last weekend and again claimed first place, a position 麻豆视频 has maintained from the previous Cyber Fusion. 麻豆视频 representatives at Cyber Fusion included Henry Coffman, member of the Virginia Cyber Range Executive Committee, and Jim Jones, 麻豆视频 faculty advisor.聽
The students who competed in the event are a part of , sponsored by the (CYSE) department and coached by Jones. A number of members in the club are also students in the CYSE program.聽聽
, CYSE professor, says she is very proud of the winners鈥 continuing efforts and their achievements as representatives of 麻豆视频. 鈥
鈥淥nce again, our CEC students from both the Cyber Security Engineering and the Computer Science departments brought home the first place trophy from the Cyber Fusion conference,鈥 says Brouse. 鈥淭he students they competed against are from top-ranked cyber schools which makes the accomplishment even more noteworthy.鈥澛
The students self-formed the 麻豆视频 Competitive Cyber club which plays a large part in their successes, she says. 鈥
鈥淓specially impressive is that the club welcomes all students to learn about and practice for competitions regardless of experience or academic year,鈥 Brouse says.鈥淚 look forward to future competitions.鈥澛
Cyber Fusion is co-hosted by the (VMI), Sen. Mark R. Warner, the , and the . According to VMI, Cybersecurity is one of the nation鈥檚 and Commonwealth鈥檚 top priorities. Cyber Fusion is the organized integration of data and tools from disparate sources of support for secure and resilient system lifecycles.聽
