Veterans Day 2021 Activities
In honor of Veterans Day 2021,ÌýGMU is hosting several events with a special invitation for veterans, service members, and their families to join and reflect on shared experiences. ÌýThe War and Treaty,Ìýa husband and wife duo by Michael and Tanya Trotter,Ìýwill be performing at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. The Trotters are a military family who base their music on real-life experiences, including PTSD after the Iraq WarÌýand its impacts in day-to-day life. Event details are below:Ìý

Dr. Dhokai was recently featured on the Embracing Arlington ArtsÌýpodcast discussing her research andÌýhow effective music therapy is for Veterans returning from active duty, battling PTSD and other injuries, and how their families and children benefit from these sessions.
