�鶹��Ƶ’s Division of Enrollment Management has expanded in-person service through the �鶹��Ƶ Student Services Center to �鶹��Ƶ Square (formerly the Arlington Campus).

The �鶹��Ƶ Student Services Center (MSSC) is the first point of contact for student questions related to registration and enrollment, admissions, billing and payments, and financial aid.

The center was established as part of the Student Experience Redesign and began services on the Fairfax Campus in late 2019, before adding a virtual service option in 2020 in response to the pandemic. Since then, the MSSC has helped resolve almost half a million student issues and concerns.

Visitors can receive help in-person or virtually from a team of cross-trained generalists who can help resolve most student services issues.

Students, family members, and the greater �鶹��Ƶ community benefit from the convenience of having their needs addressed in a “one-stop" location.

“The expansion of MSSC in-person services to �鶹��Ƶ Square is particularly exciting because we are not only offering students increased access to real-time solutions and resources, but also offering those services beyond the traditional 9-to-5 workday,” said Kim Shumadine, director of the center.

Services at �鶹��Ƶ Square will be offered in Van Metre Hall, Tuesday-Thursday, 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

The expanded service comes as construction of Fuse at �鶹��Ƶ Square is underway. Fuse will be a new, 345,000-square-foot hub for digital innovation that will promote the exchange of new ideas and the transfer of technology between �鶹��Ƶ’s researchers and students and industry partners to accelerate the development of digital innovation.

New central phone number for �鶹��Ƶ Student Services Center provides fast access to support

The �鶹��Ƶ Student Services Center (MSSC) has launched a new, central telephone number to streamline access to six, high-volume student support offices.

Through this central number, 703-993-2000, callers will be routed to the proper office based on need: the �鶹��Ƶ Student Services Center, Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Student Financial Aid, Student Accounts and the Registrar.

As of Jan. 5, the new number has received over 3,800 calls, routing to these offices.

“While seemingly small, this is actually a major step toward our goal of centralizing inbound telephone operations for the MSSC and all of our partner offices,” said Executive Director of Enrollment Services Andrew Bunting. “I am grateful to all who worked on this project to improve our service to students.”

The specific phone numbers for each of these offices remain operational. The goal is to better serve students seeking access to these related departments with a central—and easy to remember—contact number.
