Biography

Isela Caballero is the Communications Coordinator for the Department of Health Administration and Policy at �鶹��Ƶ’s College of Public Health. In this role, she leads departmental communications, manages College and departmental events, and develops digital and print content that highlights the achievements of faculty, students, and alumni. She also supports departmental administrative operations. Isela collaborates closely with faculty, staff, students, and college leadership to enhance the visibility of academic programs and research initiatives.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Community Health with a concentration in Global Health from �鶹��Ƶ in 2017 and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Global Health. She brings professional experience in public health, healthcare administration, customer service, and technology, with a focus on advancing health equity and supporting meaningful, community-focused change.

Health Administration and Policy (HAP) Department Manager Tracy Shevlin was honored with the �鶹��Ƶ Staff Alumni Award at �鶹��Ƶ’s 2022 Outstanding Achievement Awards.

Shevlin was nominated by her peers in HAP who are grateful for her hard work and dedication to bettering the department.

“Tracy is the heart of the Health Administration and Policy Department. For more than a decade, she has kept us on track and organized with her can-do attitude and Patriot spirit. The department could not run without her!” said P.J. Maddox, HAP Department Chair.

Shevlin has worked in the department for 14 years supporting students and faculty with administrative tasks such as events, onboarding, scheduling, and budgeting. She holds a bachelor of arts in Business Communication from �鶹��Ƶ.

The Staff Alumni Award is awarded to a �鶹��Ƶ alumnus who is currently working for �鶹��Ƶ. Alumni of �鶹��Ƶ currently working for �鶹��Ƶ are a special group of employees who are proud to call themselves Patriots. Their hard work and contributions to the university community are a reflection of their unique perspectives as former students and current employees. This award pays tribute to this special population of employees. The Outstanding Achievement Awards celebrate the hard work, dedication and achievements of �鶹��Ƶ’s faculty and staff across several awards categories and support �鶹��Ƶ’s values and mission.
